Directions
A person coming to Colfax for the annual Louisiana Pecan Festival will find that there are several major ways to enter the city, depending on the direction that the person is travelling. From the majority of most northern and western places, the best option is to take I-49 south from Shreveport. After passing the city of Rock, LA, there will be a turn to the left on Highway 8 that heads towards the city of Fairmont. This highway will go all the way to Colfax and then turn into Main Street once the center has been reached. After the center of the city, visitors will find the location for the festival on Main Street on the left, shortly after passing Farenzie Road and Logan Road. People that are coming from a more northerly direction may find it easier to take I-20 and then Highway 167 south from Ruston to avoid needing to go through the traffic in Shreveport.
