LA Pecan Festival Events

A person looking for fun at the Louisiana Pecan Festival will discover that the small town of Colfax comes alive during the weekend when the festival takes place. The many events are family oriented and the variety will give any visitor a chance to enjoy themselves. In addition to the usual Country Store and many vendors where a person can pick up new products, the events represent a way that a person can be interactive with the festival, either as a competitor or a spectator. The most popular events involve pecan cooking contests, but there are others that draw a crowd as well. The Queen's Ball and Antique Tractor Show are always crowd pleasers and the Pie Eating Contest on Saturday will have a large audience as well. In addition to the normal events, there are also many musical happenings, with many of the top groups of the region performing their songs to the visitors.
